  • 1 lb chicken thighs, boneless and skinless
  • 1/2 cup bourbon
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp ginger, minced
  • 1 tbsp cornstarch
  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 1/4 cup green onions, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Cut the chicken thighs into bite-sized pieces.
  2. In a bowl, mix together bourbon, soy sauce, brown sugar, garlic, and ginger.
  3. Heat vegetable oil in a skillet over medium-high heat.
  4. Add the chicken pieces to the skillet and cook until browned.
  5. Pour the bourbon mixture over the chicken and bring to a simmer.
  6. In a small bowl, mix cornstarch with a little water to create a slurry, then add it to the skillet to thicken the sauce.
  7. Cook for an additional 5 minutes until the sauce is thickened and the chicken is cooked through.
