- 3–4 lbs chuck roast
- 1 onion, chopped
- 4 carrots, sliced
- 3 potatoes, diced
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 cups beef broth
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 teaspoon thyme
- 1 teaspoon rosemary
- Salt and pepper to taste
