A deliciously moist and fluffy cake that captures the essence of Cinnabon cinnamon rolls, topped with a rich cream cheese frosting.

  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
  • 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1 cup cream cheese, softened
  • 2 cups powdered sugar
  • 2 tablespoons milk (for frosting)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13 inch baking pan.
  2. In a large bowl, mix together flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, whisk together milk, melted butter, eggs, and vanilla extract.
  4. Combine the wet and dry ingredients until just mixed.
  5. In a small bowl, mix together brown sugar and cinnamon.
  6. Pour half of the cake batter into the prepared pan, then sprinkle the cinnamon sugar mixture over it.
  7. Pour the remaining batter on top and swirl with a knife to create a marbled effect.
  8. Bake for 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  9. While the cake is baking, prepare the cream cheese frosting by beating together cream cheese, powdered sugar, and milk until smooth.
  10. Once the cake is cool, spread the cream cheese frosting on top and serve.

Notes

  • For a richer flavor, add more cinnamon to the batter.
  • Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator.
