A rich and decadent double chocolate cheesecake perfect for Halloween celebrations.

Ingredients

  • 1 ½ cups chocolate cookie crumbs
  • ½ cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 cups cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • ¼ cup cocoa powder
  • Chocolate shavings for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 325°F (160°C).
  2. In a bowl, mix chocolate cookie crumbs and melted butter until combined.
  3. Press the mixture into the bottom of a springform pan to form the crust.
  4. In a large mixing bowl, beat the cream cheese until smooth.
  5. Add sugar and vanilla extract, mixing until well combined.
  6. Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
  7. Stir in sour cream, cocoa powder, and chocolate chips until evenly distributed.
  8. Pour the cheesecake batter over the crust in the springform pan.
  9. Bake for 55-60 minutes or until the center is set but slightly jiggly.
  10. Let the cheesecake cool, then refrigerate for at least 4 hours before serving.
  11. Garnish with chocolate shavings before serving.

Notes

  • For a more intense chocolate flavor, use dark chocolate chips.
  • Make sure all ingredients are at room temperature for a smoother batter.
  • Can be made a day in advance for better flavor.
