  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon chili powder

  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional for extra heat)
  • 1 egg (or flax egg for vegan option)
  • Olive oil for cooking

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, mash the black beans with a fork until mostly smooth.
  2. Add breadcrumbs, onion, bell pepper, garlic, chili powder, cumin, salt, black pepper, cayenne pepper, and egg. Mix until well combined.
  3. Form the mixture into patties.
